Kadir Has University aims to educate students, who are able to produce sustainable solutions based on universal and humanitarian values for local, national, regional and global problems that people may encounter, and who are equipped with individual and professional competences in their respective areas of specialization, and be a research university at international standards, which is capable of producing highly affecting research deliverables, offering people oriented and innovative solutions for social problems and, transferring the information it creates to the society in all aspects thereof.

The quality assurance policy is developed based on this strategic vision of our university in line with the goals of being a research university at the highest quality standards in national and international areas, implementing the New Project Based Education Model across the university, and maintaining a strategic and quality oriented approach in all the academic and administrative services with a financially and institutionally sustainable organizational structure. The quality efforts are coordinated based on our 2020-2024 Strategic Plan and the Self-Assessment Systems within the scope of the Quality Assurance Directive of our university by the Quality Commission and the Institutional Research and Assessment Directorate (KADED).

The 2020-2024 Strategic Plan of our university has been created in an engaging process as a product of the contributions of all the stakeholders and, shared with the public. Our strategic plan does not only include the strategic goals in the categories of education, research and serving the public, but also the strategic goals in the areas of institutional structure and financial sustainability that are necessary to out into practice these goals. With the Self-Assessment Systems within the scope of our Internal Quality Assurance System designed on this basis, it is ensured that the quality processes and strategic goals at our university are not only the responsibilities of certain units and committees, but adopted and followed by across the university, and goal driven efforts are put into practice. The self-assessment systems are designed under the four main categories: education, research, financial and service improvements.

The Quality Committee operates in line with the strategic plan and goals of the university to develop the strategies and policies within the scope of the quality standards of the university, establish an internal and external quality assurance system for the purpose of assessing the education & training and research operations and administrative services and, enhancing the quality thereof, ensure that the administrative personnel and students act being aware of this quality assurance, students engage in quality assurance related events, institutional indicators are identified and, the course of the quality system is monitored, and engage in these operations in line with the procedures and principles as set forth by the Higher Education Quality Board.

KADED operates to monitor the goals, organizational data and quality assurance system consisting of the self-assessment systems within the scope of the strategic plan, identify the possible improvements, analyze this information and report the results thereof to the President’s Office, the Academic Council, the Board of Trustees and the Quality Committee, and put into practice such improvements as may be deemed necessary by the senior management as a result of its final assessment.
